Kingston Beach House
Overview
This compact house was for a retired couple ‘downsizing’ and moving closer to their community. Located within a heritage precinct of a beachside suburb, the dwelling derives its form from an interpretation of its dense suburban context.
Designed to embrace all day sun and turn its back on prevailing winds, the houses L-shaped plan folds around a central deck onto which living and bedrooms extend to provide year round outdoor living and landscape engagement.
